Letter of Understanding
Once an application has been approved, investigators must sign a Letter of Agreement (Material Transfer Agreement, MTA) with the SWAN Repository Organization (SRO). This agreement asserts that the applicant will provide their results to the SRO for inclusion in the parent SWAN data set by three years after the end of funding. This agreement indicates that the samples will be used only for the purpose specified, submit progress reports on the investigation using Repository material, and allow the SRO to participate in any patent or property discussions. The investigator also agrees to not contact the SWAN participants who provided the sample, as Repository resources are limited to biological material.
This form must be completed, signed, and submitted to the repository prior to the release of any samples and/or data.
